Getting Ready For A Week Of Nights 🌙
I am trying to mentally prepare myself for a week of nights. We only get one or two sets per year, but they are KILLER.
It's seven night shifts of just under 12 hours... I am feeling quite anxious about them as this will be my first set since starting on Insulin.
We get the following week off, but it usually takes me until Thursday to start feeling normal again.
I am worried about how the change in routine will impact on my management. I am going to try and make my meals as 'normal' as possible with cereal/ porridge in the morning before I go to bed, a lunch-type meal around 3am and a proper meal before I go in around 19.30.
I will also keep my basal dose at the same time of 22.00.
We will just have to see how it goes and I will try my hardest to keep tight control. I'd rather run a little high rather than risk hypos.
